Street Scenes

I love taking candid images, especially while traveling.  These three kids are all selling items to support their families in Egypt. It's sometimes hard to wrap your head around the poverty that they take for granted.

Surprisingly, one of the most memorable images I took was the bike shot from a moving van in Cairo.  It's not a great photo and most of us would have taken that bike to the dump long ago.  But to that owner, it was precious enough to lock up. They could not afford to loose it, and they recognized that unless locked up, someone else would be thrilled to take it home. It puts a whole new meaning to the idea of counting our blessings.
